How do I manage locations? (Mobile)

Modified on Tue, 19 Mar 2024 at 11:26 AM

Locations can be whatever you need them to be, from different rooms within a building to completely separate teams in different countries, but they're most commonly used for managing multiple branches or sites. Each location can have shifts from multiple schedules assigned to it, to make it as easy as possible to manage your rota.

  1. Head over to the settings page by clicking on the 'More' button at the bottom of your screen and selecting 'Company Settings' from the list.
  2. Open the Time and Attendance dropdown and select the 'Locations' tab.
  3. Here you'll see the various locations that are set up for your company.
    1. To add more locations click the plus icon in the top right and enter the location name. If employees will be clocking in at this location then you’ll be given additional options:
      1. You can limit the devices employees can clock in from. If employees are allowed to use mobile phones or computers then enable the “Allow clocking in via personal devices” setting. However, if employees are only permitted to clock in using a Portal then only enable the “Allow clocking in via a Clock In Point” option.
      2. To restrict employees from clocking in outside the location a geographical position can be added by searching for your address or location coordinates, this will drop a map marker. To adjust the accuracy of the map marker position, simply click and drag it on the map. Once a geographical position is given to the location you can adjust the proximity an employee must be to start their shift.
    2. To edit or delete an existing location click on the listing. You'll then be able to change the location details or delete it altogether.
