How do I manage schedule events? (Mobile)

Modified on Fri, 8 Dec, 2023 at 5:21 PM

Use schedule events to let your team know about company closures and days that they can’t book leave for, or to announce exciting activities like ‘bouncy castle day’, ‘team fancy dress competition’, and ‘formal company audit’.

The alerts will show at the top of the schedule on the dates which you've chosen to make sure that your team are kept in the loop. You can also set the event to restrict leave if needed.

  1. Head over to the settings page by clicking on the 'More' button at the bottom of your screen and selecting 'Company Settings' from the list.
  2. Open the Scheduling dropdown and select the 'Schedule Events' tab.
  3. Here you'll see any events that have already been set up for your account.
    1. To add more schedule events click the plus icon in the top right and fill the form out, then save.
      1. If you set the event to be marked as 'Announcement' then it will display to the team on the schedule when they view the relevant date.
      2. If you set the event to be marked as 'Business Closed' then the calendar will update to show the closures. Existing shifts and leave won't be affected though, just in case you still need certain staff to work.
      3. If you set the event to be marked as 'Leave Restricted' then the affected dates will be marked as not allowing any leave to be booked.
      4. All of the event types will be displayed to users if they go to book leave for affected dates.
    2. To edit or remove an existing event click the arrow to the right of the listing. You'll be able to change the event details or delete it altogether.
