You can control the holiday and annual leave allowance for eligible employees in their employee profile so that they always know how much leave they have left to take.
- Head over to the team page by clicking on the 'Team' icon on the left of your screen, then select the Leave tab.
- Find the team member you need to edit, either by scrolling through the list or using the magnifying glass button at the top of the screen to search.
- Click on the employee you want to edit
- Click the spanner icon in the top right of the screen.
- Make sure that the 'Entitled to annual leave' toggle is enabled.
- The 'Default entitlement' field shows the number of days of annual leave that the employee is entitled to in a standard leave year. We'll use this to set the 'Current leave' field at the beginning of each new leave year.
- The 'Exclude public holidays' field allows you to choose what should happen if an employee books leave over a public holiday. If they're not expected to work public holidays as standard then you'll want to tick the box, in which case we won't deduct those days from their allowance. If they usually work public holidays you should leave it unticked though, in which case we'll treat it just like any other day.
- The 'Current leave' field shows the number of days of annual leave that the employee is entitled to over the course of the current holiday year. This can be higher or lower than the default and allows you to log TOIL or make general adjustments as needed without affecting future years.
- If you're making changes to the amount of annual leave an employee is entitled to you can add a reason for the update; this will be saved in the adjustments tab for you to refer back to later.
- If you're making changes to the amount of annual leave an employee is entitled to you can add a reason for the update; this will be saved in the adjustments tab for you to refer back to later.
- Once you've made the necessary changes you'll need to click the 'Save' button at the bottom of the screen.
