Schedule templates allow you to copy and paste schedules between chosen dates, saving you from having to set up the same shifts time and time again. If your schedule repeats regularly you can save a template and apply it over multiple weeks, copying the same pattern throughout. You can save multiple templates for different scenarios or times of year.
- Head over to your schedule by clicking on the calendar icon in the desktop navigation menu.
- Build the schedule you want to save as a template by adding shifts to the schedule, these can be assigned, open or unassigned. Breaks, tags and notes will also be saved. You can also use an existing schedule if you already have one that you want to save.
- A schedule template can span up to 100 days so you can have alternating shift patterns across multiple weeks.
- Schedule filters will be applied when saving a template so if you want to save the whole schedule, ensure there are no active filters. Alternatively, filter by job role or employee name to create a template with only those shifts.
- Once you're happy with your schedule click the 'Actions' button indicated with a spanner icon at the top right of the schedule and select 'Create / Apply Template' from the list. This will open the Schedule Templates modal; click 'Create New Template'.
- Here, you can name your template and choose the date range you want to copy; this should span the days on your schedule you want to save. You can also choose whether to include unassigned and open shifts or just assigned shifts.
- When ready, click the 'Add Template' button at the bottom of the modal. Your schedule template will be saved and ready for you to start applying to future dates.
