How do I set my availability? (Mobile)

Modified on Fri, 22 Dec, 2023 at 2:31 PM

Whether you do the school run every morning or have a standing arrangement to take your father to the doctors on a Tuesday afternoon it's worth making sure that your boss doesn't accidentally schedule you to work. Fortunately, we have just the solution.

  1. Head over to your profile by clicking the person icon at the top of your screen and selecting Unavailability from the menu.
  2. Click the plus icon in the top right of the screen.
  3. Choose whether the unavailability will be a one-off or if it'll recur regularly.
    1. If the unavailability will recur you can choose when the recurrence will run from and until, and which days of the week it will fall on.
  4. Next, choose whether the employee will be unavailable for the entire day or just part of it.
    1. For all-day unavailability, you'll need to choose the dates that the period of unavailability starts and ends on. If the employee will only be unavailable for a single day the end date should be the same as the start date
    2. For part-day unavailability, you'll need to choose the times when the employee is unavailable within the day as well.
  5. Add any relevant comments about the unavailability.
  6. Click 'Add Unavailability' to save. The screen will update to show you as unavailable for the set days or times, and you will not be suggested for any shifts during that period.

If you're looking to take some time off rather than just not being able to work shifts at particular times then you might want to look at booking leave instead.
