How do I manage notification settings? (Desktop)

Modified on Fri, 8 Dec, 2023 at 5:04 PM

Think of notifications as your personal assistants; while you're busy getting on with your regular workload they're busy keeping an eye on anything you need to be aware of.

  1. Head over to the settings page by clicking on the cog icon at the bottom left of your screen.
  2. Select the 'Notifications' tab under the General Settings heading on the left of the screen.

    • If you've enabled SMS notifications you'll be able to choose what triggers them. Whether you want them to send for everything or to save them for particular features while using email and in-app notifications for everything else, it's entirely up to you. These settings will only show once you've activated the feature though.
    • Struggling to keep track of how many hours employees are working? You'll be able to make good use of our overtime notifications, with warnings making you aware when a user is likely to overwork based on their scheduled hours.
    • You can also choose how soon after the scheduled clock in or out time line managers and employees should receive a notification that the employee hasn't clocked in. Maybe they haven't turned up, maybe they've forgotten that they had a shift. Maybe they've been working for the last hour and just didn't clock in. Either way, you can make an informed decision on what to do.

If you just want to update your personal notification settings you'll want to edit your profile instead.
