How do I enable SMS notifications? (Desktop)

Want to make sure your team never miss another alert? SMS notifications are your friend.


  1. Head over to the settings page by clicking on the cog icon at the bottom left of your screen. 
  2. Choose the 'Account Information' tab under the Billing Details heading on the left of the screen.
  3. Click the 'Activate SMS Notifications' button and choose how many credits you want to buy.
    1. SMS notifications are billed upfront so you won't be able to enable them until you've added a payment method. You can do this by clicking the cog icon in the top-right of the screen and selecting 'Add Payment Method', then entering your billing details.
  4. Once you've confirmed the activation we'll take payment and send an email notification to your team, letting them know that SMS notifications are now available and encouraging them to verify their phone number so that they can start receiving them.
  5. In the meantime, you're going to want to configure your notification settings; you can decide whether your team are allowed to receive SMS notifications for all alert types, or just some of them. By default, Shift and Timeclock notifications will be enabled but you can enable and disable to your heart's content.
  6. Once everything's configured and your team have verified their numbers then they'll be able to receive SMS notifications for any relevant alerts. Happy scheduling!
