If you need to make changes to a leave request which has already been approved you'll need to cancel the existing record and then add a new one.
*Line Managers will be able to cancel leave for their employees regardless of their permission level
Need to cancel an employee's leave request? That could be awkward. Luckily, updating the system doesn't have to be.
- Head over to the team page by clicking on the 'Team' icon on the left of your screen, then select the Leave tab.
- Find the team member, either by scrolling through the list or using the magnifying glass button at the top of the screen to search.
- Click on the employee you want to edit.
- Find the leave record that you want to cancel and click the 'View' button to the right of it.
- Click the 'Deny Request' button at the bottom of the screen.
- You'll be given the option to write an explanation for your decision, and then to confirm; your decision and the reason for it will be emailed to the employee, so try not to be too crushing.
