While you're obviously an excellent employer (our favourite, actually) occasionally staff may still leave. Treacherous wretches. Console yourself by removing them from your Shiftie account while telling yourself that you deserved better anyway.
- Head over to the team page by clicking on the 'More' button at the bottom of your screen and choosing 'Team' from the menu.
- Find the team member, either by scrolling through the list or using the search bar at the top of the screen.
- Once you've found the team member click on their name. This will open their profile.
- Select the cog icon in the top right-hand corner of your screen, and click 'Delete Employee'.
- Here you have a choice to make. If you still want to be able to view the employee's historical shifts, timesheets, and reports you can set the employee's status to 'ex-employee' and leave it at that.
- If you don't need their details at all anymore, you can select the 'Delete' option instead. This will remove almost all of their data from your account and anonymise the rest, just leaving non-identifiable information such as how many employees were working on a given day. You won't be able to view the employee's profile and we won't store their details behind the scenes. This change is entirely irreversible, so think very carefully before you do it.
- Once you've chosen your preferred option, click to confirm at the bottom of the page for the change to take effect. The employee will be removed and you'll be able to move on. Physically at least, if not emotionally.
