Go to Company Settings > Time Off > Settings.
You can also use the toggle at the top of the screen to turn annual leave off altogether if you want employees to just log unavailability instead.
The 'Default leave approver' is the member of staff who will automatically be set as the leave approver for any new employees.
Leave notice required' controls how many days' notice an employee needs to give when booking leave.
The 'Unavailability' section allows you to choose whether employees can log when they're unavailable but don't wish to specifically book leave, for instance if they work part-time and have other commitments in addition to their shifts. You can specify how far in advance your team need to commit to unavailability as well to prevent them from adding it at the last minute and throwing out your schedule.
The 'Absences' section lets you choose whether employees can record sicknesses and other unexpected absences.
