Can't find this? This feature will only work if it's enabled in your company settings, so if it's not showing you might want to talk to the account holder.
When you're called in to work at the last moment the last thing you need to be worrying about is getting your boss to update the schedule just so that you can clock in. Thankfully, you don't have to; simply clock in without a shift and your time entry will be generated automatically.
Be careful though; your boss will probably notice if you start doing this when they haven't asked you to work.
- When you don't have any shifts scheduled for the current day you'll see a 'Start Shift' panel on your dashboard where you'd usually see your next shift.
- Click the 'Start Unscheduled Shift' button to log your clock in time and then confirm your choice. The timeclock will start, logging your time worked. The panels will also update so that you can log your breaks and clock out once you're done.
- If you do have a shift coming up but you're too early to clock in you can click the clock icon next to the greyed-out Start Shift button to start an unscheduled shift instead.
