Work patterns allow you to set up regular working and 'weekend' days to assign to employees who work on a fixed schedule. This means that employees will only be recommended for shifts on days when they're actually working, and if they book a block of leave we can make sure to only take the number of days from their allowance that they'd have been working anyway. Neat, right?
- Head over to the settings page by clicking on the cog icon at the bottom left of your screen.
- Select the 'Work Patterns' tab under the General Settings heading on the left of the screen.
- Here you'll see the various working patterns that have been set up for your account.
- To add more work patterns click the 'Add Work Pattern' button in the top right and enter the pattern name, then choose the days of the week that should be counted as working days before saving.
- If you have multiple patterns then you can choose one to set as your primary work pattern by enabling the toggle when adding or editing. New employees will automatically be assigned this work pattern (although you'll still be able to change them on a case-by-case basis).
