It's all well and good assigning shifts to your team, but if you can't see if they showed up then you're back to square one. Instead, amuse yourself by reviewing their time entries to see exactly when they clocked in and out and to figure out how much to pay them. It doesn't get wilder than this.
Don't fancy having to manually approve every single entry? You're going to love auto-approval.
Head over to the timesheets page by clicking on the 'Timesheets' navigation item on the left of your screen.
Use the pay period selector above the employee menu to select the correct period. A period with a green tick icon is already fully approved; timesheets needing a review will be under a period with no icon.
Some fully approved periods may have automatically approved timesheets, which we recommend double-checking.
Once you’re viewing the correct period, select an employee from the menu on the left to review their timesheets. You can use the search, filter, and sort tools to quickly find employees.
Here you’ll see scheduled and unscheduled timesheet entries for shifts an employee has clocked into. Manually created timesheets will also be shown here. You can review the hours that they worked and the breaks they took against any scheduled details.
Usefully, Shiftie indicates any late timesheet entries so you can pay closer attention to reviewing these.
If you need to make any changes to the clock in and out times, job role, or break lengths, you can edit them by opening the timesheet dialog from the menu on the right of the entry.
Any approved entries are not editable. If you need to edit an entry that has been approved, simply unapprove it first.
Once you’re happy that all of the entries are accurate, click the “Approve Entries” button at the top of the screen. The entries will be locked for editing and confirmed for exporting.
Individual timesheets can also be approved from the menu on the right of the entry if you’re not ready to approve them all.
